Like most coaches I got involved with football when my son started playing. From helping out the coach I got more interested in the coaching aspect so I completed my FA level 1 coaching badge, welfare officer course and became an FA licensed coach and now run my youngest son’s team as well as helping run the club.
The welfare of the children at our club is very important to me so everything we do is to benefit the kids directly as it’s their game after all!
In my spare time if I’m not watching Manchester United I’m thinking of how we can achieve the goal of making SAJFC the best club in town.

Joint Club Secretary
I have been coaching grassroots football for 6 years now and love every minute of it! I currently coach the U8s and U11s at the club. I’m extremely excited about the future of the club- with the right people in the right places this will be a community club with the best interest of the children at its core.
I have 4 children with 3 of them playing in teams for the club. So my spare time is usually taken up by something relating to football!
I’m also a massive Everton football club supporter.

Chloe Williams
Welfare and Safeguarding
I have been involved in grassroots football for the last 4 years since my son joined Southport Athletic at U7s, I think if i didn’t get involved I would never see my son or husband!
The welfare of the children is a priority for us at Southport Athletic. It makes me proud to say we are able to deliver football in a safe and fun environment allowing them to develop throughout their time with us.
My spare time… well what is that? When you have a football mad child it’s either grassroots football matches and tournaments.. or watching Wrexham or Liverpool on the TV! When we aren’t “footballing” I love a good read!

Harrison
Club Development Offcer
Now heading into my third season as a grassroots football coach, I currently lead the Southport Athletic U15 Blacks. I’m happiest when I’m out on the training pitch or supporting the team from the sidelines.
Most of my spare time is spent giving back to the club—whether that’s coaching, cutting the grass, or chasing down grant funding to help us grow and improve.
I’m fully committed to creating the best possible environment for our players to develop and enjoy the game.
